Veneers

Dental veneers turn stained, crooked or damaged teeth into a natural new smile, a smile that everyone will notice. If your front teeth are stained, chipped, crooked or uneven, then cosmetic dental veneers will give you a great life-like appearance with minimum tooth adjustment.

After having the teeth restored with dental veneers the result is a dramatic improvement in aesthetics (the look), the teeth are now whiter, are more rounded and the tips of the teeth are now not so jagged and rough. Overall this should make you look much younger, and ensure the natural bite and function of your teeth are restored to what they were years ago.

  • A long-lasting solution to improved tooth appearance
  • Cover up chips, cracks and stains
  • Correct misshapen teeth
  • Achieve a more symmetrical smile
  • Stain-resistant and comfortable in the mouth

FAQ's

  • A cosmetic tooth veneer is a facing (laminate) on the front of your teeth usually your top teeth. It is precision made by skilled dental technicians to exactly mimic natural teeth. Dental veneers are made out of a high strength porcelain and are used mainly for aesthetic reasons.

  • A small amount of enamel may need to be removed from the front surface of the teeth to prepare for the veneers. This will be carried out under local anesthesia to ensure your comfort throughout. After your teeth have been prepared, impressions are taken and sent to the dental laboratory where the veneers will be custom-made to fit each individual tooth. In the meantime, temporary veneers may be placed to protect the prepared teeth. Once the permanent veneers are ready, they are bonded to the teeth using a special dental adhesive.

  • Generally, it takes a few days to a week for patients to adjust to the feeling of having veneers in their mouth.

  • Veneers can last anywhere from 10 to 20 years before they may need to be replaced. However, with proper care and maintenance, they can potentially last even longer. Regular dental visits and following your dentist’s instructions for oral hygiene can help extend the lifespan of your veneers.

  • Before the actual placement, the dentist will numb the area with a local anesthetic to ensure you won’t feel any discomfort or pain during the procedure.

  • Your teeth will be evaluated by our dentist to determine if you’re a good candidate for this procedure. Factors such as your overall oral health, tooth structure, and alignment will be taken into consideration. Individuals who grind their teeth may not be ideal candidates for veneers.

Fantastic

“I had an accident at work with a coffee table and ended up damaging 3 of my front teeth. I was able to be seen the same day at Viva dental and given a thorough examination. They were absolutely fantastic and really put my mind to rest. I have been back for a further visit since my initial visit and I’m glad to say that you really can’t tell that there has been any damage to my teeth. I can’t sing the praises of Dr Sabeti high enough. Thank you.”
